What gives? You can’t blame the overall segment, which has seen sales fall by just 3%. Its tempting to blame the HR-V, but that doesn’t jive with YTD sales figures for both models.
There was a recall on Fits, but the same recall also impacted Civics, and those are still selling well.
I guess the Ford Fiesta stole the Fit’s lunch money, but that’s without any model changes or sales promotions.

Fit and HRV are built in the same plant. Add 2015 Fit +HRV total and you get the 2014 Fit total or thereabouts.
Don’t cry for Honda, HRV sells for 20% more.
